Security Issues

Please see to the left the Symantec current security alerts and various patches according to the type of Operating System (OS) that you are using. It is important to keep all systems update to date with patches and service packs, Especially Windows systems. Windows is the highest profile system that hackers attack on a regular basis.

It is required that all Windows machines have anti-virus software installed. Under the Software tab you will information about the packages that we use in the division.
Campus Computing Policies

The ACG being part of campus ITS abides with the campuswide computing policies. In the near future the ACG will be drafting and creating policies specific to the division. The following two links will give you information on Campus policies and also the School of Engineering policies which in general will be similar to our division's policies.

ACG response times

In general, we attempt to response to all request within 24 hours within the general working week of Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. However, responses may take place outside of this time. Please be aware that this does NOT indicate a 24/7 support system (i.e. 24 hours 7 days a week), rather it is a 'good faith effort' to assist people when staff decide they wish to intervene in the 'off' hours. Please see the HelpDesk tab for information on how to gain assistance.
